Okviri znanja d.o.o., together with StatPro d.o.o. and Finrar d.o.o., participated in the 19th International Symposium on Corporate Governance, held at Hotel Kardial, Banja Vrućica, from May 14 to 16, 2025.
At the symposium, they presented the project “A Companion for Sustainable Business Development – companiESGuide”, implemented within the Interreg VI-A IPA Programme Croatia – Bosnia and Herzegovina – Montenegro 2021–2027.

The goal of the symposium was to, through constructive discussions and scientific papers, shed light on the most important aspects of upcoming changes so that business entities can timely adapt their operations to new circumstances, and relevant institutions can begin adjusting the regulatory framework and undertaking other activities aimed at achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

One of the key topics was the importance of timely preparation of enterprises for ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) reporting. ESG reports are becoming an increasingly important tool for evaluating transparency, ethics, and sustainability of business operations—not only within the European Union but also in the broader global market.

For companies, understanding and implementing ESG standards is not just a regulatory requirement, but also an opportunity to enhance competitiveness, strengthen the trust of investors, partners, and end-users, and reduce long-term risks. Therefore, it is crucial that all stakeholders in the business community are well-informed about ESG reporting requirements and ready to implement them on time.

The companiESGuide project directly contributes to this objective—its focus lies in developing practical tools and educational materials that will enable small and medium-sized enterprises to more easily adapt to and understand ESG requirements.
By participating in the symposium, the project partners confirmed the importance of cross-sectoral cooperation in knowledge transfer and aligning business operations with sustainable practices, which represents the core guiding principle of the symposium itself.
